Friends,
This is the first time I will be posting for the Alliance Men's Ministry of Oswego. I feel tremendously blessed to be a part of this group and I hope that the blessing will rest on all of you as well.
There is a stirring and rumbling in the hearts of men. We are facing struggles on every side but God is with us. There are two passages in scripture that I have long been meditating on, and I think they are appropriate for our present struggles as men, fathers, and husbands: Ephesians 6: 10-20, and Romans 8: 31-39. These passages relate the reality of our situation; we are in a fight, a real fight with real casualties. It isn't a tangible fight but the effects are tangible and the wounds are real. But we do have hope, Christ is the victor, and we rest upon the work that he has already done. He will not leave us to engage the enemy alone, nor will he let us fall by the wayside. He is with us if we stand with him, and He is our hope always.
I trust this to be encouraging to you all. It is something that has been increasingly impressed upon my heart and my hope is that we will all stand together, relying on the victory that Jesus has already won, and fight the spiritual battle in unity, standing together, living as one, and serving one another in Christ's name.
Blessings,
